Dr. Antonette Logar is a professor of computer science, department chair for mathematics and computer science, and dean of graduate education at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Toni has an eclectic educational background. She has a BA in Geology from Lehigh University, a BS in Computer Science from SDSM&T, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, a PhD in Computer Science from Texas Tech, and a Law degree from the University of Louisville. She has been a member of the SDSM&T faculty since 1983. Earlier this month, she received the McDonald Medal, the national mentoring award from Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society.

She is a member of SPACT, the security research group at SDSM&T, and has an interest in the programs and infrastructure that foster innovation. She has been a coach for the SDSM&T Programming Team for over 25 years and is currently serving on the board of ECP, the non-profit organization that is bringing the ICPC World Finals to Rapid City.

She is also an avid traveler, having visited over 60 countries, and has been a frequent participant in musical and dance events at SDSM&T and in the community. She has served on a number of community boards including Leadership Rapid City, the Black Hills Symphony, and currently, on the executive committee of the Mount Rushmore Society.
