Pam Moret has had a wide-ranging career as a versatile senior executive. Her career spans leadership positions in two Fortune 500 financial services companies, with deep experience in the innovation arena, leading a strategic innovation division as well as heading two start-ups. Prior to these business roles, she was a lawyer working across multiple financial services practice areas.

Throughout her career, Pam has also been very active in the community. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards (Minnesota Public Radio, Luther Seminary, Lutheran World Relief, and Science Museum of Minnesota, to name a few). She is currently chair of the board of the Bush Foundation, and serves on the capital campaign committee for Minnesota Public Radio.

Before her “retirement” (though given her level of activity, that word doesn’t suit her well), Pam was the president and CEO of brightpeak financial, an independent division of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that created an innovative financial services offering for young families, helping them build economical resilience so they can be confident in their futures. This role fulfilled a passion she has had to help Americans reduce their vulnerability and live their lives with greater confidence.

Pam has also served as CEO of IDS Life Insurance Company, and general manager for all the retail financial products for American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise). She held a variety of positions throughout her 20 years at American Express, in product development, marketing, public affairs and legal.

A native of Fargo, North Dakota, Pam graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 1975, receiving a B.A. in political science. In 1979, she received a J.D. with honors from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., earning the Order of the Coif and Law Review.

Pam currently serves on the boards of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Optimum Mutual Funds, Minnetonka Moccasins and The Bush Foundation. She is also a member of the Minnesota Women's Economic Roundtable. Pam was also inducted into the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers.
